Get involved

The University of Winchester and Winchester Students’ Union offer an array of opportunities to get involved with activities outside your degree, including sports clubs, societies, representational networks, jobs on campus and volunteering. Taking part in such activities equips you with a broad range of transferable skills which will prepare you for life after university and make your CV look great.

Being a member of an activity group will grow your communication and networking abilities. By taking part in an activity group, you also have the opportunity to be elected as a committee member of an activity group which will equip you with skills such as problem solving, perseverance and the ability to work under pressure. Taking part in academic engagement activities can develop your research capabilities, and our volunteering schemes can provide you with great leadership opportunities. These are open to all, and many students look back on their involvement as a central part of their university experience.

Below are just a few examples of what you can Get Involved with during your time at Winchester.
