The Department of Digital Technologies is an exciting department housing Computer Science, Cyber Security and Software Engineering. Students benefit from access to a wide range of specialist software and tools including our dedicated Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, Enterprise Networks and Software Development laboratories.
The Department of Digital Technologies is an exciting department blending Computer Science, Cyber Security and Software Engineering. We have dedicated facilities in our West Downs Centre which include specialist labs for Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, Software Engineering and Enterprise Networking.
We tend to favour workshop-style sessions over lectures, so you have the opportunity to apply cutting-edge knowledge and skills to real life scenarios. Our students have access to a wide range of specialist software and tools to gain necessary skills to develop innovative, and data-driven solutions to solve complex Digital problems involving in the use and protection of systems and data.
Students will have invaluable networking opportunities with industry professionals and opportunities to work on client-based projects to increase experience and develop dynamic online professional portfolios to showcase their achievements to future employers. All students are also given the opportunity to engage in a year in industry or short-term placement within their programme to support their employability prospects.
