WEST DOWNS CENTRE - THE IMPRESSIVE ONE.

A standout space for conferences, networking events, exhibitions, and occasions that call for something bold. Auditorium seating up to 230 delegates, complete with hybrid event capabilities Spacious, modern foyer with café, ideal for networking and exhibitions. Secluded outdoor courtyard garden Five breakout rooms with panoramic balcony views over Winchester, each seating up to 50 people Quiet reflection spaces for time away from the buzz.

WINCHESTER BUSINESS SCHOOL - THE ELEGANT ONE.

Set in a beautifully restored Victorian building, this elegant venue is perfect for both professional conferences and stylish celebrations. With space for up to 110 guests, flexible breakout rooms, a stunning oak-panelled dining room, and a bright double-height foyer ideal for drinks receptions, it’s as versatile as it is characterful.

ST ALPHEGE - THE FUNCTIONAL ONE.

Right in the heart of campus and perfect buddy to the Stripe building for larger conferences needing extra breakout space. St Alphege offers nine modern teaching rooms across three fully accessible floors. With capacities ranging from 40 to 100 people and connecting foyer spaces ideal for refreshments, it’s a great choice for meetings, training sessions, and classroom hire.

WINTON BUILDING - THE ORIGINAL ONE.

The building where it all began, Winton has grown with us into the King Alfred Quarter we know today. Full of character and history, it’s ideal for smaller meetings of up to 20 guests, with one larger classroom that can seat up to 70. A modest space with a lasting legacy

THE STRIPE - THE POPULAR ONE.

Home to our largest auditorium (seating over 300) with state-of-the-art AV and hybrid capabilities, The Stripe is built for standout conferences and talks. It features a spacious foyer, two flexible study rooms perfect for poster sessions or refreshments, and a tiered lecture theatre for up to 196. Just a short walk from campus bedrooms, dining, and breakout spaces, it’s the popular choice for larger events

KING ALFRED CENTRE - THE SOCIAL ONE.

With its striking triple-height dining hall and wraparound terrace, the King Alfred Centre is ideal for awards dinners, large wedding receptions, and group bookings of up to 250 guests. It also features a boardroom, café, and our Students' Union bar and event venue, making it the perfect spot for celebrations that carry on into the evening.

PAUL Chamberlain Building - The Creative One.

The Paul Chamberlain Building is a versatile performance space with four flexible studios for dance, music, theatre, and activity hire. It includes a dedicated dance studio with a sprung floor and a fully equipped theatre with raked seating for up to 80 guests. Perfect for rehearsals, workshops, and intimate performances, it offers a professional setting for creative bookings of all kinds

HOW TO FIND US

Only 1 hour from London, 15 minutes from Southampton Airport, and 45 minutes from Bournemouth, Winchester is easy to reach by road, rail, and air. The University campus is a 10-minute walk from the city centre and train station, with good transport links and on-site visitor parking. By car, we’re just off the M3, making access simple from across the South.
