New Dean appointed to head University of Winchester Faculty of Business and Digital Technologies

The University of Winchester is delighted to announce that Sarah Moore-Williams has been appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Business and Digital Technologies and Director of the University of Winchester Business School.

Sarah, a Chartered Certified Accountant, joins the University on 6 March 2023 from London South Bank University (LSBU) where she is currently Dean of LSBU Business School.

As well as 15 years' experience in higher education, Sarah's extensive professional experience includes accounting, governance and operational roles across the UK and Europe in the oil and gas industry, Lloyds of London and telecommunications.

She is Chair of Southwark Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs and sits on the Assessment Review Panel of the Institute of Governance.

Speaking about her appointment, Sarah Moore-Williams said: "I look forward to joining the University of Winchester Faculty of Business and Digital Technologies and to leading the team to further develop a thriving and successful community of practice, with real world impact, life changing opportunities, and growth for all."

The Faculty of Business and Digital Technologies, incorporating the Winchester Business School, teaches and researches in the areas of business management, marketing, event management, accountancy and finance, and computer science. In recent years there has been a marked increase in the numbers of postgraduate international students within the faculty as well as vibrant Apprenticeship courses in Data Analytics, Digital Technology Solutions, and Business Management and Leadership.

The Faculty contains around 80 staff members and currently comprises 1300 students. As Dean, Sarah will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Faculty and will also be the Director of the Winchester Business School.
