Natasha was the winner of the Academic Excellence Award from the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, at our annual Winton Society Awards on 25 April 2024. The Winton Society is the University’s alumni community, which is made up of more than 35,000 people who have studied or worked at the University. The awards mark their achievements and contributions within the University and the wider world.

Hear our interview with Natasha at the ceremony and how she feels about studying Nursing at Winchester.

Here are just some of the reasons why Natasha’s coursemates nominated her for the award:

Natasha continuously goes above and beyond in her studies and has had a huge impact on the Nursing course at Winchester. She is a course champion, Student Staff Liaison Committee deputy chair, Florence Nightingale Foundation Student Council member, Royal College of Nursing student ambassador and most recently has been a leading force in establishing a Nursing Society at Winchester. She somehow finds time for all of these roles whilst maintaining an exemplary academic record and is an outstanding role model to her peers as well as students in other years.”

“During the last three years Natasha has taken every opportunity given to her to grow her passion for the course. Natasha is passionate about embracing change and making every opportunity count, having taken the chance to inspire future generations of nurses that are coming through the door here at Winchester. I could not have asked for a better ‘buddy’ for when I transferred. She has supported and created opportunities for me and I do not know of anyone more deserving of this award.”
