Biography

Sarah Green is a Lecturer in Marketing and Fashion Marketing with a specialism in design. She joined the university in 2013 initially as a visiting lecturer. Her career spans 23 years of both industry and academic roles, where Sarah has taught MA Design Management and Fashion Management at Southampton University (Winchester School of Art) and Basingstoke College of Technology. Prior to this she has worked in design, marketing and brand communications for large and smaller organisations including IBM and Sony Europe, where she was Senior Manager of 1-1 Communications, designing and implementing their relationship marketing and culture change programmes.

Sarah has a first class honours degree from the University of Portsmouth in Graphic Information Design and a Masters in Cultural Studies from the University of Winchester, where her research focused on the modern art gallery and museum and commercial/community responsibilties versus the contemplation of works of art. She is currently undertaking her doctorate studies for her DBA with a focus on design for well-being. Initially this refers to the healthcare setting, but education, hospitality and other industries are of interest. 

Sarah also runs her own local business, Birdhouse Studio where she creates design education for school-aged children.
