Dr Genevieve Waterhouse studied Experimental Psychology at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2008. She then worked for NACRO, the crime reduction charity, teaching teenagers who had dropped out of the education system. In 2012, she completed her MSc in Forensic Psychology at the University of Leicester and began her PhD at London South Bank University. Supervised by Dr Rachel Wilcock, Dr Anne Ridley and Professor Ray Bull, her PhD focussed on the investigative interviewing of child victims and witnesses.
While completing her PhD, Genevieve taught on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at London South Bank, and spent three months working at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology writing a briefing note for MPs and Peers on policing domestic abuse. In August 2016, she was appointed as a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Winchester.
