Natasha led the National Healthy Schools Programme in Southampton for 8 years and worked with schools from all phases of education.
She was Chair of the multi-agency Southampton Healthy Child and Young Person’s Group (2010 – 2012) which was instrumental in supporting and directing health and wellbeing interventions for the 5 – 19 year age group.
Natasha is an independent PSHE and Citizenship adviser based in Southampton; working with foundation stage settings, primary, secondary schools and post 16 colleges to develop quality PSHE education provision.
Natasha leads the National PSHE CPD Education Programme in Southampton (Accredited by Roehampton University).
She co-ordinates the Southampton PSHE Network for professionals involved in the delivery of PSHE in the city.
She has experience of reviewing PSHE curriculum provision to ensure it meets statutory requirements, the needs of pupils and the communities the schools serve.
Natasha has a particular interest in Sex and Relationships Education, (SRE) and has recently undertaken the review and implementation of a SRE curriculum in several schools within the city. As the LA PSHE adviser, Natasha co-ordinated the city wide audit of SRE provision in all the city’s secondary schools and facilitated the group that went on to produce the city’s SRE policy. She is also a member of the Southampton Sex and Relationships Education Group, a multi-agency group that works with young people, both in formal and informal settings, delivering PSHE education.
