The University of Winchester is delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah Pook as its new Director of Finance and Planning.
Sarah will join Winchester in January 2023 from the University of Southampton, where she is currently Executive Director, Finance and Planning. A member of the University Executive, she is responsible for the Directorate of Finance, Planning and Analytics, as well as the stewardship of finances, budgeting and preparation of financial statements.
Prior to joining the higher education sector 11 years ago, Sarah had senior roles within local government, including as Deputy County Treasurer at Hampshire County Council, with responsibility for a team of 480. She has significant experience of strategic leadership and organisational development and of working with partner organisations and government departments, including the Department for Education.
