On Elimination of Racial Discrimination Day (21 March) we talk to former footballer and manager, and football pundit John Barnes MBE about racism in sport and more widely in society.
A Jamaican-born Englishman and widely regarded as being one of the most talented players to wear an England shirt, John is vocal about the issue of racism and discrimination and has previously met with former Prime Minister David Cameron to discuss means of tackling racism in football.
We spoke to him after a recent talk at the University which saw John in conversation with Angus Scott, international journalist, broadcaster and Senior Lecturer in Journalism at the University.
