A party of Chinese students visited the University of Winchester – the first to make the trip since Covid.
Nine students and one staff member from Nanjing University of Science and Technology Zijin College toured the campus on Wednesday.
The group was made up of third year student interested in studying for their masters abroad. They were here as part of a 10-day trip to England, organised through the company Opportunity China, which involved sightseeing as well as visits to universities.
The Nanjing party given a presentation about the University of Winchester by Maggie Lin, International Recruitment Development Manager.
PG student Erin Xinyang Li helped with the tour and presentation.
Maggie said the visitors were impressed by the university and its proximity to Winchester which they described as a “small and peaceful city, which is good for studying”.
Nanjing University of Science and Technology Zijin College covers an area of 613 acres and has around 27,000 students. It is located in the Xianlin Science and Education City at the foot of the Zijin (Purple) Mountain in the east of Nanjing – a city of more than 9 million which was once China’s capital.
