Experience Winchester Day - Saturday 22 March 2025
8:30am-4pm
This day is all about you as an applicant to the University of Winchester, and your chosen course. It’s a chance to get a step ahead, meet the academics who teach your course and start to picture what your student life could be like here at Winchester.
There can be lots of unknowns when it comes to joining university – who will be teaching me? What are the main differences between a college and a uni assignment? How far is the accommodation from the library? Your Experience Winchester Day is designed to answer your questions.
TIMINGS OF THE DAY
- 8:30-9.45am – Registration: we will email you your exact Registration Point nearer the date of the event
- 10am-12/1pm – Applicant Academic Session: a student Course Champion will bring you from your Registration Point directly to your academic session where you will meet academics and other students who have applied to your course. During this time your parents or guests have these options:
- Attend an information session
- Walk into the city centre (15-minute walk) to enjoy Winchester
- Have a coffee and relax in our social learning spaces
- 12-1pm (depending on when your academic session finishes): meet up again with your parents or guests
- 1-4pm – Campus Tours, Accommodation Tours, Advice Hub: optional tours and a chance to visit the Advice Hub to get answers to your questions on admissions, housing or student finance or head down to the city centre to get to know your future university city. Flick through our A-Z Guide here.
If you have any questions, feel free to send the Open Days team an email on opendays@winchester.ac.uk
