Philip Mounstephen has been Bishop of Winchester since late 2023, supporting churches and chaplaincies across much of Hampshire, Christchurch and Bournemouth, and is a member of the House of Lords. Previously roles include spending five years as Bishop of Truro, leading one of the Church of England’s international agencies and pastoring churches in both London and Paris.
He served on the Council of the University of Gloucestershire for eight years, latterly as Vice-Chair, and chaired the Audit Committee.
He lives in Winchester, with his wife, Ruth and dog, Noggin.
