Biography

Dr Daniel Mattingly is an Associate Lecturer in English Literature and Film Studies in the Department of English and Creative Writing. He completed a PhD in Post-Postmodern American Literature and the 'New Sincerity' at Swansea University in 2014 and has continued to research and teach in the area of American Literature while also developing teaching and research in film studies. He primarily teaches in English Literature and Film Studies in modules covering film history, film genre, Hollywood film, global prison/carceral literature, and gothic literature.
