Biography

After graduating in law from the LSE, Sarah was called to the Bar in 1986. She worked as a prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service in South London for 12 years latterly specialising in child protection cases. During her career break, she studied for a Masters in Child Studies at Kings College London completing her dissertation on children's evidence. After working as a volunteer for Victim Support, she became a magistrate in 2013 and now sits regularly on the family and criminal bench. In additional to the magistracy and teaching criminal law, Sarah works as a lay advisor for Health Education Wessex, is a Governor of a deaf school and a trustee of a national charity concerned with public health.
