John has been an academic at the University of Winchester since January 2008. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology and the Subject Group Lead for Sport and Exercise Sciences in the Department of Sport, Exercise and Health. He is currently the Convener of the Sport and Exercise Research Centre (SERC).
John completed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science and MSc in Psychology of Sport and Exercise at the University of Chichester. He later completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and a PhD in Expectancy Effects in Higher Education at the University of Winchester.
