About us

Launched in 2015, the Centre for Medical History (CMH) focusses on the social history of health and illness for humans and animals from the ancient to the modern world. As an interdisciplinary centre, the CMH encourages collaborative research and its dissemination through monthly lectures open to staff, students and the general public. It also encourages the publication of monographs and edited volumes through the Winchester University Press New Perspectives in Veterinary History series, edited by Louise Hill Curth.
