Tavern Talk: Visualising Sound Design

Book now

Thursday 21 October 2021, 5.30pm for a 6pm start
St James Tavern, 3 Romsey Road, Winchester, SO22 5BE

Our brains are wonderful things, but they are weighted hugely in favour of visual processing. The English language is full of visually striking terms that provide us with a language of visualisation and a common consensus. But is the same true of sound as a sense, or is it far more subjective? Can we use visual design principles to design better sound; can we adopt a common sonic language?

Tavern Talks welcome all who wish to participate.
They feature short talks followed by opportunities for discussion.
There is no charge for entry, though numbers are limited by the size of the venue. For further information please contact inga.bryden@winchester.ac.uk
