We have a gym pass to suit everyone!
Burma Road Student Village hosts the University Gym. The equipment supplied by Life Fitness provides an excellent work out experience. The top floor hosts a large cardio area providing bikes, running machines, cross trainers, rowing machines and more. There is also a stretching zone to get you ready for your workout and fixed resistance machines to improve your strength.

Weekdays: 7am-10pm
Weekends (including bank holidays): 10am-6pm
Frequently asked questions
Is it just students that can use the University gym?
Anyone can use the gym including members of the public.
How can I pay for the gym?
The University Gym is now cashless so card payments only. University Staff can also have a deduction from salary if they wish, after paying the first month in advance, by card payment.
How old do I have to be to join the gym?
The minimum age requirement to use the gym is 16 years of age. If under 18, parental consent is required.
How long does it take to join up?
All you need to come up to the gym and fill out the gym pass form, health questionnaire and then bring a method of payment. After we ask everyone to take part in a quick induction with one of our staff members, please let them know if you would like further information on using the facilities and they can give you a more thorough induction.
