Denise is Senior Lecturer in English and American Studies. She has taught in higher education for many years and previously worked for The Open University.
Her research interests centre around the complex relationship between politics and popular culture, specifically literature, mass media and film. Her special area of interest is the 1980s, in particular connections between the transatlantic politics of Thatcher and Reagan and its impact on filmic representations of corporate workplace identity.
