The Quality Management Office (QMO) is responsible for managing the University's processes to assure the quality and standards of its academic provision.
Key areas of management and responsibility are:
- Annual programme monitoring
- Academic Regulations and associated policies
- Audits and reviews
- Collaborative Provision
- External Examiners
- Periodic programme review
- Programme Approval and modifications
- Quality Assurance procedures
- Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies Register
- Student Appeals
In managing the above activities, the QMO will:
- Provide professional expert advice and information to University colleagues, external bodies and partner organisations in relation to quality assurance matters
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and Academic Regulations that support academic activity and meet the FHEQ and QAA Codes of practice
- The corresponding policies, procedures and guidance
- Assist with the understanding of and monitor the implementation of the Universitys quality assurance system
- In conjunction with the University Staff Development and Training Group, provide support and staff development in key quality assurance areas
- Act as a central contact for external quality assurance activities and bodies, such as:
- Association for Collaborative Provision of HE in FE in England (ACP)
- Council of Validating Universities (CVU)
- Institutional Liaison Scheme
- NHS, Health Professions Council
- Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRB)
- Quality Assurance Agency (QAA)
